In keeping with the Hills ambience the Gooseberry Hill Medical Centre has sought to provide a welcoming, cheerful, relaxed atmosphere within our practice.

In addition to the convenience of being located within a shopping centre, we are also surrounded by a range of additional health services.

This means that our patients will never have far to travel to receive the healthcare they need. Additionally, the Kalamunda Pharmacy is nearby, making collecting prescription medicine after appointments quick and stress-free.

Our location is ideal for residents of Gooseberry Hill, Maida Vale, Hazelmere, Helena Valley, Boya, Darlington, Piesse Brook, and Kalamunda.

Fees and billing arrangements

Gooseberry Hill Medical Centre is a bulk billing clinic for standard medical consultations and procedures for our regular patients. Charged apply for initial consults or visiting patients. Our consultation fees are displayed at the receptionist’s desk and in conjunction with the Australian Medical Associations recommended rates. Credit card facilities are available. Bulk billing is available for our regular patients who full under the following categories; pensioners, veterans’ affairs and health care cardholders, patients under the age of 16 and all recall services. The doctor or staff will advise you of any other costs for initial consults, medicals or any other consulting fees. Please bring your Medicare card and any of the above cards for each appointment.

After hours care

In an emergency call Triple 000 and ask for the ambulance service.

Home visits

If you are a patient of the Gooseberry Hill Medical Centre we are able to offer a home visit service within our normal surgery hours. Please contact us to make an appointment.

Telephoning your doctor

You can contact doctors in this practice by telephoning during normal surgery hours. A message will be taken or an appointment will be scheduled.

Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain the security of personal health information at all times and ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff who all work under a strict confidentiality agreement. Your medical information may be shared only when arranging medical treatment / referrals to other medical professionals/ allied health teams.

We do use My health record, please advise your GP if you do not wish to participate.

Appointments

Due to Covid19 we are currently not using our online booking system. Staff may ask a serious of questions and a phone consult may be arranged if you fit the requirements. Please advise reception staff prior to your appointment if you have travelled recently or are experiencing a fever and or cold and flu symptoms. We have been experiencing phone delays and or line have been congested, please be patient, your call is important to us and every effort will be made to accommodate you. Appointments are routinely scheduled at fifteen minute intervals. Longer consultations are available, so please, ask our receptionist if you require the extra time.

Patient Suggestions

If a patient has any queries, suggestions or complaints, they may be made to the Practice Manager or practice staff. However, if you wish to take the matter further and feel you need to discuss the matter outside of the surgery please contact.
